Data Indexing

Introduction #

Optimizing search performance on your WooCommerce site involves indexing your products and posts. This guide outlines the steps to manage data indexing effectively. If you choose not to create an index, the search functionality will still work normally without indexed data.

This feature is exclusive to the PRO version.

To access the Index Status page go to Smart Search > Index Status in your WordPress dashboard. View the current index status, including the number of indexed posts and products.

Managing the Index #

1. Update Index: Click the Create Index button to update the entire index.
2. Delete Index: Click the Delete Index button to remove the current index.
3. Automatic Index Updates: Toggle “Re-create index when settings updated” to automatically update the index when changes are made to Smart Search settings, such as adding custom post types, taxonomies, or fields.
